  • Beschreibung: A young teacher (Angelos Antonopoulos) arrives in Agrampeli, a remote village in rural Greece. In this village which has been deserted because of migration, he tries to give the children an education and, at the same time, bridge the differences between the villagers which result from the scheming of a powerful landowner (Giannis Argyris). In the process, he falls in love with the president’s daughter (Niki Triantafyllidi) and fights for the construction of a road that will provide access to the rest of the country. The landowner and his older son (Nikos Alexiou) oppose this project and finally manage to prevent it from being built. However, they pay for their obstruction with the death of the landowner’s young son (Vasilakis Kailas).
